found these from someone's blog. if i were on twitter, i am actually retweeting. RT is the new ditto they say..
Love leaped out in front of us like a murderer in an alley leaping out of nowhere, and struck us both at once. - quoted, i don't know who wrote this.
* i guess that's how love is. strikes at the most unexpected time. i'm soooo mushy tonight, i can't take it. lol.
So it goes.
Those were vile people in both those cities, as
is well known. The world was better off without them.
And Lot's wife, of course, was told not to look
back where all those people and their homes had been.
But she did look back, and I love her for that, because
it was so human.
So she was turned to a pillar of salt. So it goes. - Kurt Vonnegut
*Lot's wife may not be my fave character in the Bible, but lolo Kurt simply made me understand her- she is totally human for looking back..I realized how difficult it is to follow God(taking this quote in a Christian's perspective..) as we would still end up looking back at our silly-ness and going back to our sinful nature. And if we do, at least now, He won't turn us into a pillar of salt.
"Girls are taught a lot of stuff growing up: if a boy punches you he likes you, never try to trim your own bangs, and someday you will meet a wonderful guy and get your very own happy ending. every movie we see, every story we're told implores us to wait for it: the third act twist, the unexpected declaration of love, the exception to the rule. but sometimes we're so focused on finding our happy ending we don't learn how to read the signs. how to tell the ones who want us from the ones who don't, the ones who will stay and the ones who will leave. and maybe a happy ending doesn't include a guy, maybe it's you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. maybe the happy ending is just moving on. or maybe the happy ending is this: knowing after all the unreturned phone calls and broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment... you never gave up hope."
-He's Just Not That Into You
*happy ending can mean differently for every girl. my happy ending 2 years ago was marrying angelo, now it meant differently to me.. my happy ending is being in another fork in ithaca..but, there's a whole lot of things on the happy-ness list.. and being in my 20's i'm still entitled to have embarrassing mishaps with the boy-girl relationship.. ;p
It didn't dawn on me until you were gone just how much I would miss you. Sometimes I start to pick up the phone to see if you want to do something, and then I remember you're far away. Or I go somewhere we used to go, see people having fun, and wish we could be there, too, laughing and talking like they are. Don't get me wrong...I hope you're having a good time exploring new places and making new friends. I just miss you...I guess that's only natural when someone means as much to me as you.

*i sometimes feel this when i miss gelo. it goes back full circle, that i miss him terribly so at times.
“i start to feel like i can’t maintain the facade any longer, that i may just start to show through. and i wish i knew what was wrong. Maybe something about how stupid my whole life is. i don’t know. why does the rest of the world put up with the hypocrisy, the need to put a happy face on sorrow, the need to keep on keeping on? ... i don’t know the answer, i know only that i can’t. i don't want any more vicissitudes, i don't want any more of this try, try again stuff. i just want out. i’ve had it. i am so tired. i am twenty and i am already exhausted.”
~Elizabeth Wurtzel
*ha! when PMSing, it's crazy- i always say. only 27 and jaded.
on the other hand, i feel blessed, elated, and really lucky today. all things at work are falling into place. :) and this city is treating me well. reaaaaaaaaaaaally.
