"Knowing What's Nice."

Knowing that thou art nothing, that thou canst do nothing, and art worth just nothing, thou wilt quietly embrace passive drynesses, thou wilt endure horrible desolations; thou wilt undergo spiritual martyrdoms and inward torments. By means of this Nothing thou must die in thy self, many ways, at all times, and all hours. The Spiritual Guide by Miguel de Molinos above lit quote is beautifully written. it's like the king james version of the Bible.. sighs.. kung when si mark night shift, he winds up having no schedule in ccms.. at times, it's terrible when i miss mowgli.. and even if i don't want to say it out loud, i would end up blurting it out.. argh.. other things of today: (i won't write about other people nalang.. again their opinion about me is none of my business, i kinda learned lately that everyone in this city has opinion most times self righteous opinion about other people and how other people should "operate".. and i am afraid that if i continue backstabbing, whining, being negatiba, i will turn out to be like them in the end..) so happy things.. saw dana.. :) small group's still on saturday.. she is the sweetest.. tells me not to worry cuz she will pick me up instead of ricky.. :) dich and i were in national bookstore today and then we got stuff.. she got coloring book that colors with water for kenji and i got me a small box of pastels, 3 pencils, sharpeners- i couldn't find the huge rotary ones in pastel pink or green, so i settled for the small one na plastic.. been surviving on dark chocolate kisses, instant coffee, prunes, or peanuts, and one big time meal during the day.. i skipped jogging today cuz i got home late.. yesterday, when i went jogging, i guess the summer heat was too much i wind up with sunburnt nose.. not nice.. no articles of clothing or shoes inspired me today.. although i was delighted to see white tea, green tea, and lavender healing garden sets and i carefully placed them back on the display shelves and told dich that they are all letse ka mahalia jackson.. and left the mall.. :) okay.. i am in a pretty kahilakon mood today, paksit ang 1300php from my budget because i got my camera fixed.. i hope the guy from the camera house fix it.. if not, it's gbye nikonia.. gbye.. hayers.. and leaving an advice from kurt vonnegut whose books i never read.. "I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, ‘If this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is." and lastly, quiet time for tonight is again about paul..snippets from utmost for His highest.. What do I count in my life as "dear to myself"? If I have not been seized by Jesus Christ and have not surrendered myself to Him, I will consider the time I decide to give God and my own ideas of service as dear. I will also consider my own life as "dear to myself." But Paul said he considered his life dear so that he might fulfill the ministry he had received, and he refused to use his energy on anything else. This verse shows an almost noble annoyance by Paul at being asked to consider himself. He was absolutely indifferent to any consideration other than that of fulfilling the ministry he had received. Our ordinary and reasonable service to God may actually compete against our total surrender to Him. Our reasonable work is based on the following argument which we say to ourselves, "Remember how useful you are here, and think how much value you would be in that particular type of work." That attitude chooses our own judgment, instead of Jesus Christ, to be our guide as to where we should go and where we could be used the most. Never consider whether or not you are of use— but always consider that "you are not your own" ( 1 Corinthians 6:19 ). You are His.
